December 2025 came and went, and stipulations in the FCC took your subsidized drone software away! If that wasn’t bad enough, the FAA publicly announced that they want more comments x2 to have to work through instead of releasing a rule. So, if you want to save lives, take selfies, or scale those $200 a sortie drone deliveries, you're going to need more waivers, lots more.

"I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened."

―Obi-Wan Kenobi

But where can I get a waiver for such a shortsighted travesty? Why, from the same "advocates" and "experts" who pushed for the total China supply chain ban. Those shiftless grifters know that if they go along with the regulatory dysfunction, they can get those big cut-and-paste drone waiver dollars. Like a silver lining, the FCC opened up new lines of business for the beltway waiver chaser.

The Old Party Try!

Looks like the #1 Happy Good Luck Quadcopter company is going to quadruple down on stupid by suing the FCC.

Try as they may, the crowdsourced useful idiots worked a laughable and tired PR message. The propaganda straw-grasping got so bad that they got nostalgic and flashbacked into the tenets of the Proletarian Cultural Revolution pan. They pulled out the stops highlighting the hypocrisy of capitalism, insisting on ideological purity, national security be dammed! They hurled insults at technologically inferior products while sanctioning the CEO’s, slathered on the innuendo that US manufacturers lobbying their own government on National defense legislation would cost the US money and lives. In an almost comical last-ditch effort, they vainly sent their best and brightest shills to DC for the party's recompense, and the cheer squad vainly pinned their hopes and best wishes to no avail.

Beyond the din of the carnival barkers and charlatans, we can see as plainly as noses on our collective faces that the experts, after 20 years, still do not fully understand the value of the drone. I recognize recurring pitfalls of the current DoW efforts, and I have doubts that they will yield the profit intended or needed to build out a robust domestic US drone ecosystem.

On the other side of the COIN, the C-UAS situation is no longer a secret 'f*cking terrible' and that’s not just like my opinion, man. I will impart the same sentiments as I shared with the GAO back in 2015-ish, keep VIP’s close to cover. Stay out of open-air stadiums, large crowds, or anywhere else using AeroScope or like technology as a safeguard. It is nothing more than the minimum effort required to secure liability insurance. Stay out of stadiums!
