Conceptual UAV illustration; no deployed aircraft integration is represented.
AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND — 20 October 2026 — QuanSoft Systems Limited has built Whisper, a hardened client-side software development kit (SDK) designed for selected unmanned-system and defence data-continuity applications. The company is inviting discussions with UAV manufacturers and systems integrators about controlled technical evaluation.
Whisper follows one founding engineering principle: built assuming no network exists. Instead of depending on an uninterrupted data connection, the SDK enables a host system to protect and persist approved application records locally, apply configured priority and transmission policies, and manage delivery and reconciliation when an approved communications path becomes available.
Consider an unmanned aircraft producing a sensor reading or status record during a temporary link outage. An integrating application could submit that record for local protection and retention. When a permitted transmission opportunity returns, a configured bearer adapter could attempt delivery subject to applicable budgets and priorities. Acknowledgements would then inform retry and reconciliation. This is a potential integration scenario, not a claim of a deployed aircraft installation.
That distinction matters: Whisper does not provide radio hardware, restore a lost link, defeat jamming, control the aircraft or issue mission commands. It cannot deliver to a remote receiver while no approved communications path exists. Aircraft safety, mission authority, radio equipment and the receiving backend remain with the integrator.
For UAV OEMs, sensor developers and mission-systems integrators, Whisper provides a data-continuity layer for evaluation alongside existing applications, data links and receiving systems. Its private evaluation SDK supports binary application data, client-side protection, persistent delivery state, priority-aware handling, controlled transmission opportunities and acknowledgement-based reconciliation. These are application-software capabilities, not radio-frequency performance claims.
The technology grew out of QuanSoft’s asynchronous continuity engine, first built into its SAR search-and-rescue coordination and EFVOICE/EBBASE emergency-services field-reporting applications. QuanSoft later built the standard QuanLink SDK for broader application integration, followed by the distinct, hardened Whisper SDK for demanding operating conditions.
“We built our technology assuming no network exists,” said Jason Findlay, founder of QuanSoft Systems Limited. “For an unmanned system, the question is what happens to important data before a usable link returns. Capturing, protecting and reconciling that information should be part of the application design.”
Whisper has been packaged for private, controlled technical evaluation. Any OEM integration or production deployment would require separate engineering verification and approval; no general product availability, military endorsement, aircraft certification or deployed integration is implied.
About QuanSoft
QuanSoft Systems Limited is a New Zealand software company that has built application-level operational-data continuity technology. Its standard QuanLink SDK and separate hardened Whisper SDK are designed to manage approved application data across changing communications conditions, without replacing radio bearers, host applications or receiving backends.
