Okay, FIFA World Cup 2026™ - fans, $500 million +/- dollars to seize 700 +/- drones. Are poor FAA policy and regulation to blame? For me, the question is rhetorical, as it comes from two sources. I was told it was 99% plus right after the closing ceremonies, and at this time t is purported that only 8 out of the 700 +/- drones seized were not made by DJI. It cost the US government roughly $500,000,000 ÷ 692 ≈ $722,543.35 per DJI drone. I'm confident. The after-action report will be forthcoming, and we'll see the final numbers when the dust settles.
You're not getting that at the selfie-drone sites!
My hat is off to US LE, as a LOT was going on, as anyone close to any of the events could attest.
